Raised on a farm in a small town in southeast Nebraska. Have lived in the Dallas metroplex since 1995.
Started singing around age 6; started playing guitar around age 12. Wrote first song in 1989 ("Good Night, My Children"). Recorded From the Heart in a friend’s studio in 2001. From the Heart is a 58 minute CD with a total of 23 tracks.
Have been involved in barbershop choruses called the
Men of Note (1996-2002) and Big "D" (part of
S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A., Inc.) and a Doo Wop (50s/60s rock ’n’ roll) a’capella quartet called
4 Ever Young (1997-2007). Sang the National Anthem at a Rangers game in 1997 & 1998 as part of Timeless Melodies, a barbershop ensemble.
Graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in 1994, with a degree in Computer Engineering. Became a member of Triangle Fraternity in 1990. Was involved in the Men’s Glee Club, the Association for Computer Machinery (ACM), Tau Beta Pi, the Honors Program, and other academic honorary societies.
