I....SMELL....SMOKE.....
FLAMILIA is NOT your typical Southern-fried rap outfit. Spent countless hours in the Trap? No. Own gazallion cars from past drug sales? Naw. Movitated to rap because they lost too many homies to the bing or the grave? Nah-ah.
FLAMILIA is about hip-hop and life. With radio-friendly hooks and intricate word play, FLAMILIA brings the most important thing in this industry....great songs.
Formed near the end of 2001, FLAMILIA has put out numerous mixtapes, including Unnecessary MixFlames Vol. 1-3, Who is Flamilia?, and The Passion of the Crisis. FLAMILIA plans to drop one more mixtape before working on their first album. In 2008, FLAMILIA will drop the double mixtape, Why Do Rappers Fall in Love?/BasketKase. The Outkast-inspired mixtape will include two different disc from members Raven October (love) and Enigma September (basketkase), with contributions from FLAMILIA's backing crew, The NETTWERK (J.Viddy, Dermo, Swayzee, Young Frequency, Young Lyrik).
FLAMILIA has performed on various stages in the North Florida/South Georgia area. The dynamic duo has graced stages on the campus of Florida A&M University, the Platinum Club in Quincy, FL, the National Guard Armory, Amen-Ra Cafe and the infamous Beta Bar in Tallahassee. FLAMILIA has performed aside punk-rock outfit Whole Wheat Bread and famed hip-hop Violinist Ashanti Floyd (T-Pain, Young Buck)
2008 has proven already that Florida is the new hotspot in the South with the suscesses of T-Pain,Rick Ross, Flo Rida, and DJ Khalid. FLAMILIA offers the same focus on hit-making songs and concepts while offering an alternative to the dope-boy posturing that is associated with the South.
